Many people earn their living through
small-scale farming, trading, and informal work. Youth unemployment is high,
many women run businesses with little access to finance, equipment and market,
and irregular seasonal income leaves families vulnerable.
What We Do
●
Skills and youth employment: Offer vocational and business training in areas such as
agro-processing, solar installation, and digital skills, with mentoring and
start-up support to help young people stay and thrive at home.
●
Village savings and credit: Strengthen village savings groups and link them to microfinance and
mobile money for safe saving and small loans.
●
Women-led enterprise: Support women's groups in food processing, horticulture, soap making,
and petty trade, with business skills, equipment, and market access.
●
Producer groups and value
chains: Help cooperatives and farmer groups aggregate
produce, add value, meet quality standards, and negotiate better prices.
●
Small business growth: Provide coaching, financial literacy, and linkages to markets,
suppliers, and local buyers such as hotels, schools, and urban traders.
We partner with community groups, local
microfinance institutions, technical training providers, and government
agencies. Support is practical and tailored to local markets, building on
existing skills and traditions of mutual support, with a focus on women, youth,
and returnees.
Our goal:
Households with diverse, reliable incomes, and
thriving local enterprises that create opportunities and keep communities
strong.
